Today marks a momentous milestone for Give-Water. For 15 years, we have been dedicated to a single, life-changing mission: ensuring that every Ethiopian has access to safe, clean drinking water.
Our Journey So Far
Since our founding, we have successfully reached over 200,000 people across seven regional states in Ethiopia. Our work has spanned both rural and urban landscapes, focusing on areas where the water crisis is most acute. Through spring development, borehole drilling, home-to-home water distribution systems, and the construction of public water points (Bonos), we have seen firsthand how clean water transforms communities.
Why We Must Do More
Despite our progress, the challenge remains vast. Water-borne diseases continue to claim lives and hinder the growth of our children. This reality fuels our determination as we look toward the future.
The Road to 2030: Our 5-Year Vision
To mark our 15th anniversary, we are proud to unveil our strategic plan for the next five years. Our goal is ambitious but necessary: we aim to provide clean water to an additional 500,000 Ethiopians. To achieve this vision and scale our operations, we require a budget of 350 million ETB. As our General Assembly Chairperson, Tofiq Shemsedin, noted during our recent press briefing, this is a collective effort. The scale of the need in Ethiopia requires the unity of our people and the support of dedicated institutions.
